After reading the book I lent it out and recommended to many to buy and read. With the son Haydn and now that poor teenage girl allegedly raped/sodomised by the Satin Man Harry Phipps. And him handing out the pound notes in the 1960s. The physical description of him. Where he lived so close to Colley Reserve I understand why he is now a person of interest by South Australia Major Crime. To me they could be well be buried at the cast alloy factory. Well done Stuart, Alan and Bill.

A riveting book we could not put down . I have read it 3 times. Thorough, well researched. This Satin Man went under the radar for decades as did the clergy, the school teacher, the Rolf Harris’s of the world .We now know better. These children were charmed and coaxed by a very persuasive very smart and wealthy man. Not a dirty old man that I was told to keep away from in the 60s. We were so so wrong. A great book indeed and a highly likely here. Any more with the teenage girl raped by the Satin Man in the 1970s?

I have read the book. Fascinating indeed and it all fits. For one reader to say the book is based on fictitious characters? How can this be when the police have interviewed some? AND now raised the Satin Man to a person of interest. Fictitious characters? I don’t think so mate. It’s likely these children never left the area. Great book very very well researched. Full credit to the Authors and to Bill Hayes. Movie next?
